Where Does KeyVox Store Transcripts?

KeyVox keeps the latest result on your device instead of building an online history of everything you say.

KeyVox keeps your latest transcription on your device so it can show the result and place it where you are writing. It does not upload your dictations or keep an online history of everything you have said.

A later successful dictation replaces the latest result shown in the app. Once the text is inserted, it is stored by the app where you are writing according to that app’s settings.

Your Latest Result

KeyVox keeps the latest transcription on your device so you can see what it heard. When you complete another successful dictation, the newer result replaces the one shown before it.

KeyVox does not present a long list of everything you have dictated. Your actual message, email, note, or document stays in the app where you chose to write it.

Replay Your Latest Speak Reading

On iPhone, KeyVox Speak can keep the most recent copied text and finished audio locally so you can replay it. This is separate from your dictation result.

Common questions

Questions people ask

Does KeyVox save every dictation in an online history?

No. KeyVox does not keep a cloud transcript history tied to an account. It keeps the latest result locally for the app and keyboard workflow.

Are dictation transcripts synced through iCloud?

No. KeyVox can use iCloud for supported dictionary data and settings, not for a cloud history of your dictations.

What happens to text after it is inserted?
