ChatGPT and Claude are useful for more than quick answers. They can explain a difficult idea, review a draft, outline a plan, or turn a pile of notes into something coherent.

The listening happens on your iPhone
ChatGPT and Claude are online services. Text you submit to either service is handled according to that service's settings and policies. KeyVox cannot change what happens inside those services.
After you copy a response, KeyVox Speak creates its voice locally on your iPhone once the required downloads are installed. KeyVox does not need to send that copied response to a remote text-to-speech service to create the audio. Its most recent request text and replay audio are stored locally on the iPhone.
That distinction matters: the AI chat creates the answer, while KeyVox Speak handles the read-aloud step on your device.
A few ways to make listening better
For very long responses, ask the assistant to organize the answer with clear headings or shorter sections before copying it. Spoken explanations are easier to follow when the writing has a visible structure.
It can also help to ask for:
- a plain-language version of a dense answer
- a numbered sequence for instructions
- a short recap at the end
- definitions before unfamiliar terms are used
These are writing choices, but they improve the listening experience too.
