How to Dictate Into Any Mac App
If the active Mac app accepts typing, KeyVox can usually place your dictated text there.
Put the cursor in the Mac text field where you want words, hold the KeyVox trigger key, speak, and release it to stop recording. When you stop speaking, the complete text appears in the active field.
Apps you can use
KeyVox works with ordinary active text fields in mail, messages, notes, documents, browsers, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, editors, and terminal prompts. Some protected or unusual fields may limit text insertion.
You stay in control
KeyVox does not press Send or Return. Once text is inserted, that app takes over, and its own settings determine whether it saves, syncs, or processes it.
