Why Dictation Has No Subscription
KeyVox transcribes speech using a model installed on your own device. Because the work happens locally instead of on a KeyVox server, there is no ongoing hosting cost tied to how much you personally dictate, and no recurring bill for that core feature.
You still need an internet connection once to download the model you choose. After that, dictation itself does not depend on a KeyVox subscription or a monthly word cap.
What the Optional Unlocks Cover
Vibes and Speak are separate from dictation, so you only pay for the extras you actually want. KeyVox Vibes lets you try a different writing style before editing your latest dictation. Speak reads copied text aloud on iPhone using a local voice.
Both are one-time purchases handled through Apple, not a KeyVox account or recurring charge. Apple manages the purchase, receipt, and any restoration on your Apple ID.
